Extensive practice is a required ingredient for good speeches. That’s why we rehearse in front of mirrors and use colleagues as test audiences. We repeat our speeches enough that we don’t have to worry about stumbling over our words. With honest feedback from our rehearsal partners, we’re also able to streamline our body language.
Researching the audiences for our speeches is another key element of our prep work. We learn as much as we can about our listeners’ concerns and their demographic traits. Doing so helps us tailor our Equilibrium Marketing Solutions messaging to their unique needs and interests.
We also believe it’s helpful to get used to the venue before giving a speech. If we know the feel of the room before we step up to the podium, we have a better chance of giving a confident presentation. With this basic preparation, we feel more at ease moving around on stage to make important points.
